Have any
questions?

Great!  We love questions.

We're always asking questions around here.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

Yes!  I am currently in network with the following insurances:

- Aetna

- Capital Blue Cross

- Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield

- Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of PA

- OptumHealth (United Healthcare)

- Quest Behavioral Health

This list is kept up-to-date so it remains accurate. Last updated 11/4/2024

WHAT IF MY INSURANCE Isn't listed?

You can call the phone number on the back of your insurance card to get a list of therapists who are covered by your insurance.

Some people skip insurance and opt to self pay.

$115 regular individual session 53 – 60 minute session

$130 regular couple session 53 – 60 minute session

I accept payment in cash, credit card (VISA, Discover, Mastercard, American Express), or check.

WILL YOU SEE ME?

I work with anyone, age 14 and older, regardless of race, gender, and religious background.  I work with individuals and couples.  I primarily work with folks who live in Chambersburg and the surrounding Franklin / Fulton County areas. However, if you life outside of this area and are located somewhere else in Pennsylvania, I can see you via telehealth.

IS TELEHEALTH RIGHT FOR ME?

If we can meet in person, I prefer to see you in person.  I believe a therapy session is particularly valuable when client and therapist are face to face.  If accessibility is a concern for you, know that my office is located in a building that has a working wheelchair lift.  If you live far from the office and schedules do not allow for in-person sessions, I am happy to accommodate you via telehealth.

WHAT DOES THE "LPC" BEHIND YOUR NAME MEAN?

LPC stands for Licensed Professional Counselor.

Licensure is important because, unfortunately, anyone can call themselves a counselor whether they have sufficient training or not.  Having a LPC credential means that I obtained my Master's Degree, completed 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience after obtaining my degree, and passed an exam to be licensed as a therapist by the State of Pennsylvania.

I also take a number of continuing education credits each year, which allows me to stay current with my approach and keep my license active.

WHAT IF I'VE NEVER BEEN TO THERAPY?

Then, welcome!  I am glad you are entrusting me with your first experience with therapy.  I truly believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, if they are open to change.  If you have never been to therapy, you may be surprised that depictions in the media aren't always very accurate - we have come a long way from having people lie on couches while the therapist sits off to the side and analyzes your thoughts!  I also want you to know that your situation doesn't have to be "really bad" in order for us to meet.  (But it is OK if it is!)  You get to dictate the change you want to see in your life.  If you are considering therapy, I encourage you to give it a try, even if it is not with me - there are a lot of therapists out there doing great work!
